A
report from Dave
Watch out, world! We're back, and we're
forging ahead, filling the world with bearable music and
unbelievable conviviality. Have you heard our new version
of "Five Governors in Eight Days?" John Weingart's
been playing it on WPRB and it was used in a new report
on Nov. 15 on local NPR stations.
If you want a copy, bring your portastudio
to one of our gigs, 'cause it's not on any album, and if
the world is to survive, it never will be.
I have been enjoying being part of Big
Jeff DeSmedt's Middle Size Band, playing music and making
silly noises for the pre-youth of America. Big Jeff's music
is always challenging and entertaining, and the musicianship
of the band members is of the highest caliber. We've released
a CD full of wild and wonderful ditties (go to bigjeffmusic.com
for details). I play electric guitar (my Maton Phil Manning
Custom from Australia), National slide guitar, and my Danelectro
Electric 12-String. Give it a listen!
I am still teaching and coaching guitar
players/songwriters privately, and writing songs, just so
I don't attend the monthly NJ Songwriter's Circle empty
handed. Recent songs include "Draining my Pool"
and "The Man with the Golden Arm." Someday they
may be recorded.
Meanwhile, all three of our CDs are still
available (we found a couple copies of Bad Taste
in the closet). Please drop us an email...
and let people know we still are available for gigs! We're
just waiting for your call, since our agent Horace ran off
with our secretary LaTrina and took our Rolodex hostage.
